Karen Thorsey
Owner and Founder
With a career spanning over 30 years in the visual design world and over 20 years in the floral industry, Karen is the visionary behind Foxtail Cottage Floral. and Her journey began in the vibrant cities of Boston and New York, where she honed her skills in visual design and styling before transitioning her talents to the world of florals. Karen attended Bowdoin College and The University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and Art History as well as studying design in Boston.
In 2013, Karen embarked on a new venture, founding Foxtail Cottage Floral with a clear vision: to craft elevated, timeless weddings while fostering an enriching and fulfilling work environment for all involved. Drawing upon her background in design and her innate understanding of color, Karen has curated a distinctive aesthetic for the studio—one that is timeless, refined, and utterly unique.
Over the years, Karen's unwavering dedication to excellence and her commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for her clients have continued the lasting Foxtail Cottage Floral reputation.
Cameron Suddarth
Lead Designer & Manager
As the creative force behind each floral arrangement and the guiding hand throughout the planning process, Cameron is dedicated to ensuring that every detail of each client's special day is perfect. From the initial inquiry to the final design touches at the venue, Cameron's role is to bring unique visions to life while providing a seamless and enjoyable experience.
With a background in graphic design and studio art, Cameron's journey in the world of floral design began in the exquisite and lively event industry of Palm Beach. Cameron studied at Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Cameron's multifaceted artistic background is evident throughout every aspect of the floral design process—from crafting innovative proposals in the office to designing captivating arrangements in the studio.
